Understand the mechanics of the game
The Mines grid typically has 25 tiles. At the start you decide how many tiles will hide mines — the more there are, the faster your multiplier grows with each correct choice.
How does the multiplier grow?
Each safe tile you reveal increases the risk for the next tile, and the multiplier grows accordingly. More mines means more risk, but also a higher multiplier with each gem revealed.
Cash-out strategy
The most important decision is knowing when to stop. Every player has their own strategy — some prefer fewer mines for steady returns, while others play high-risk games aiming for larger multipliers.
Auto cash-out
The Mines game at cg777 often has an auto cash-out feature — winnings are collected automatically once a set multiplier is reached. This reduces the risk of playing too long under emotional pressure.
Strategy tips for smart players
Keep these tips in mind to improve your game in Mines.
Start with fewer mines
For new players, starting with 1–3 mines is a good idea. The multiplier is lower, but the chance of hitting a gem is higher.
Set a fixed budget
Before each session, set a maximum spending limit. Staying within that limit after a loss is the smart move.
Control your greed
Cash out once you reach a set multiplier. Waiting for an even higher multiplier out of greed increases the risk of hitting a mine.
Number of mines and rewards
More mines means the multiplier grows faster but so does the risk. Choose a number that suits your tolerance.
Learn to accept losses
Placing a large bet to recover a loss is dangerous. Play the next round with a clear head.
Play on a trusted platform

Comparing risk levels in Mines
As the number of mines increases, so does both the risk and the potential reward. The table below gives a general idea — actual multipliers depend on the game software.
| Number of Mines | Risk Level | Multiplier Growth Speed | Suitable For |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1–3 | Low | Slow but steady | New players |
| 4–6 | Medium | Grows at a moderate pace | Intermediate players |
| 7–10 | High | Fast and significant | Experienced players |
| 11+ | Very High | A huge jump with each gem | High-risk seekers |
